Other Worlds Educational Enterprises, LLC was founded in 1988 as a single owner company. During my early career as an Earth Science Teacher I came to realize that hands-on activities are, without question, the most effective method for science instruction. In 1970, when I began my career as a middle school Earth Science Teacher, I initiated a search through numerous educational publications, college libraries and book stores, and other teacher supply outlets for hands-on science activities. It was not long before I discovered how few hands-on publications and activities were readily available for instructing students in the Earth-Space Sciences at that time. I then set as my goal to experiment and develop as many hands-on opportunities for my students as possible. This search also led to my applying for National Science Foundation and other government funded programs. I was indeed fortunate to have been accepted to many of these. After numerous trial-and-error successes through time-consuming experimentation, I began to share these lessons with colleagues at State and National Science Teachers Association Conferences, Science Olympiad Clinics, U.S. Space Foundation Teacher workshops, etc. Through Other Worlds Educational Enterprises, LLC, I now have the privilege of sharing my enthusiasm and love for the Earth-Space Sciences with educators, parents and students throughout the United States.
Listed below are select experiences which have served to enhance my expertise and skills in the E-S Sciences presently being used in creating engaging instructional hands-on activities for our nation’s youth.
