The Portrait:
When the museum curator refuses to sell a portrait of a distant relative to Reggie Rowley, Reggie takes matters into his own hands by teaming up with his old pal, Seymour, to burglarize the museum. Soon Art Deco, a detective who just happens to be a member of the Museum Board of Directors, is hot on Reggie’s tail.
The Mystery Man:
After heisting a valuable locket at a jewelry show, the two inept thieves are soon spotted. Dropping the stolen locket into the pocket of a complete stranger, the thieves execute a hasty escape. Before Security has a chance to confront the stranger, he too disappears into the crowd. John Surefind, a top Detroit City investigator, pursues lead after lead to locate the “Mystery Man” in the hopes of retrieving the irreplaceable locket.
To Catch a Thief:
When a shifty jewelry store employee observes a fellow worker assisting a wealthy client with a request that his diamonds be set in a gold-white necklace, she is immediately determined to steal it. The series of escapades that follow has the characters literally all over the map.
